Dan Kersten
Dan serves as the Director of Development and Communications for Men’s Ministries and Light for the Lost. He has a strong passion for missions and ministry and has worked in the fields of ministry development, communications, and fundraising for the past 21 years. His ministry includes communicating the needs of missionaries to American churches, ministry to men nationally, and connecting God's people to God's work through missions.
From 2004 to 2018, Dan was Director of Advancement Communications for Barefield and Associates, an agency which partnered with Assemblies of God ministries for fundraising and promotions. Dan is a 2003 graduate of Evangel University with a B.A. in Journalism, and also holds a Masters degree in Intercultural Studies from Nelson University (formerly Southwestern Assemblies of God University).
Dan has traveled to 46 countries gathering media for promotions, fundraising, and donor ministry. He is a writer, photographer, communicator, a dedicated missions partner, and is ordained through the Southern Missouri district of the Assemblies of God. He and his wife, Tara, live on their hobby farm in Republic, Missouri, with their son, Omar.
