Dan Kersten

Dan KerstenDan serves as the Director of Development and Communications for Men’s Ministries and Light for the Lost. Dan Kersten has a strong passion for missions and ministry. He has worked in the fields of ministry development, communications, and fundraising for the past 15 years. His ministry includes all forms of communications from our office, and overseeing Celebrate the Light (our LFTL media fundraising presentation). He also helps create ministry resources for leaders and men, and assists our districts/networks and local churches to utilize our resources.

Dan is a 2003 graduate of Evangel University with a B.A. in Journalism. From 2004 to 2018, Dan worked as Director of Advancement Communications for Barefield and Associates, an agency that partners with Assemblies of God ministries for fundraising and promotions. In 2013, Dan began writing and directing Light for the Lost’s bi-annual Celebrate the Light campaign.

Dan has traveled to 38 countries gathering media for promotions, fundraising, and donor ministry. He is a writer, photographer, communicator, a dedicated missions partner, and is ordained through the Southern Missouri district of the Assemblies of God. He and his wife, Tara, live in Springfield, Missouri, with their son, Omar.
