La Biblia Acción Opens Scripture to Deaf in Mexico
An estimated 4.6 million people in Mexico are deaf or very hard of hearing. Most of them do not know sign language or have anyone to speak for them or translate their thoughts.
Edgar and Angie, pictured here with their child, are in that number.
Unable to learn through sound or signs, they can’t experience, understand, and apply God’s Word without help.
Assemblies of God missionaries Randy and Linda Lindsey use Light for the Lost funds to provide a special Bible resource to reach deaf persons like Edgar and Angie.
“La Biblia Acción” (The Action Bible) has illustrated messages and stories that represent the most important parts of the Bible,” Randy says. “Light for the Lost has helped provide these Bibles to the deaf people of Mexico who usually have limited reading skills. It works really well for them, giving them a better understanding of God’s Word.”
Such innovative, well-done resources are essential to many missions endeavors worldwide.
