LFTL Funded Resource Points Estonian Man to Truth
by Audley Miles, missionary to Estonia
My family and I are missionaries on a church planting team in Estonia. This is how I met Sander,a new believer who was still learning what it means to follow Jesus.
Our team uses a resource called, “Follow: Learning to Follow Jesus,” translated into Estonian and printed with LFTL funds. Sander was troubled by Jesus’ instruction in Matthew 24:42 and 25:13 to “keep watch” and “be ready” for His return.
Sander wondered: What does Jesus really mean? How can I live daily life, or even sleep, if I need to keep watch and be ready at any moment?
Audley Miles (left), missionary to Estonia, used a Light for the Lost-funded resource to help Sander, (right) a new Estonian believer deal with a very serious misunderstanding about the words of Jesus in Matthew 24-25.
"Follow: Learning to Follow Jesus" is an important resource used in Estonia to teach people about Jesus and also instruct new believers about how to grow in their Christian life.
I realized he was taking Jesus’ instructions quite literally and was afraid. But after studying “Follow” he understood the words of Jesus so much better. Sander might have carried this fear and concern indefinitely, but I’m glad we had “Follow” printed in Estonian to aid in his discipleship.
Thank you, Light for the Lost, for providing these evangelism resources for Estonia!
